TL;DR. AppTweak publishes four tiers on its pricing page, checked directly on apptweak.com on 29 August 2026: Essential at €79/month (500 keywords, 5 followed apps, 5 competitors per app, 1 seat), up through Grow Plus at €499/month (3,000 keywords, 15 apps, 15 competitors per app), plus a quote-only Enterprise tier. Sensor Tower has no published pricing at all — every plan is custom, confirmed on sensortower.com the same day. What you get for Sensor Tower’s unlisted price is broader than AppTweak’s ASO toolkit: download and revenue estimates for apps you don’t own, ad-spend intelligence, and audience data. If you just need to track your own iOS rankings and competitor metadata, that’s exactly the toolkit AppTweak’s cheapest tier already covers.
If you’ve narrowed an ASO tool search down to these two, the decision usually isn’t about which does ASO “better” — it’s whether you need Sensor Tower’s market-intelligence layer at all. We checked apptweak.com/en/pricing and sensortower.com directly on 29 August 2026 to confirm the numbers below.
Which one actually publishes prices?
AppTweak does; Sensor Tower doesn’t. That’s the whole first decision.
| AppTweak | Sensor Tower | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry tier | Essential — €79/month (€949/year) | Not published |
| Entry tier limits | 500 keywords, 5 apps, 5 competitors/app, 1 seat, 6-month history | Custom — quote depends on module(s) |
| Mid tier | Grow — €249/month (€2,990/year) | Not published |
| Mid tier limits | 1,500 keywords, 10 apps, 10 competitors/app, 12-month history | Custom |
| Top self-serve tier | Grow Plus — €499/month (€5,990/year) | Not published |
| Top tier limits | 3,000 keywords, 15 apps, 15 competitors/app, 24-month history | Custom |
| Enterprise | Custom (contact sales) | Custom (contact sales — the only option) |
| How you get a number | Read the pricing page | Book a demo and talk to sales |
Sensor Tower’s pricing page states plainly: “We customize pricing plans for each customer — get in touch to find your perfect fit.” There’s no self-serve checkout and no published starting price anywhere on the site, the same as when we checked it in mid-August.
What do you get for AppTweak’s published price?
Essential, AppTweak’s cheapest tier, includes a Reporting Studio, 12+ keyword research tools, live keyword search, competitor metadata analysis, app-page preview, featured-apps tracking, and ratings-and-reviews analysis — across 5 followed apps and 5 tracked competitors per app.
Grow adds the metrics that matter once you’re past “which keywords exist”: organic installs per keyword, relevancy scores, brand-vs-generic install splits, a metadata simulator, and automated Slack/email alerts. Grow Plus is the same feature set at higher keyword, app, and history limits rather than new capability. AppTweak’s Enterprise tier — priced on request, same as Sensor Tower — adds AI Visibility access, an “ASO Agent,” AppDNA/GameDNA taxonomy, a creative-explorer suite, and incrementality analysis.
All of this covers both the Apple App Store and Google Play, at every tier, across what AppTweak’s site describes as 100+ countries and languages.
What does Sensor Tower cover that AppTweak doesn’t?
This is the actual reason to consider Sensor Tower despite the missing price tag. Its core product, App Performance Insights, covers downloads, revenue, and active-user estimates — for your competitors’ apps, not just your own. AppTweak’s competitor tooling is metadata- and keyword-focused; it doesn’t estimate a rival’s install volume or revenue.
Sensor Tower also sells separate modules bundled into its custom quotes: Digital Advertising (ad-spend and creative intelligence, formerly branded Pathmatics), Audience Insights, Web Insights, Video Game Insights, and an MCP server. AppTweak has no equivalent to the download/revenue estimation or ad-spend modules — its Apple Ads-adjacent tooling stops at keyword and metadata intelligence.
Neither vendor’s site describes writing a metadata change — title, subtitle, keyword field — back to App Store Connect or Google Play Console. Both are research-and-reporting layers; you make the actual change yourself.
Which one should a solo developer pick?
If your job is tracking your own app’s keyword rankings, auditing your metadata, and watching a handful of named competitors, AppTweak’s Essential tier at €79/month gives you a real number to budget against today — no sales call required. Five followed apps and five competitors per app covers most solo portfolios.
If you specifically need download or revenue estimates for apps you don’t own — market sizing before entering a category, or benchmarking against a competitor’s install trend rather than just their keywords — that’s Sensor Tower’s actual differentiator, and it’s not something AppTweak’s tiers replicate at any price. But be honest about the cost of finding out what it costs: there’s no number until you’ve booked a demo.
What’s missing from both?
Direct App Store Connect write-back, at any tier, from either vendor — the same scope gap we found comparing AppTweak and MobileAction and AppFollow and AppTweak. Both tools tell you what’s happening; neither pushes the fix live.
The short version
- Want a number before you talk to anyone: AppTweak — €79/month gets you 500 keywords, 5 apps, and 5 competitors per app
- Need download/revenue estimates for apps you don’t own: Sensor Tower is built for that; AppTweak isn’t
- Budget-conscious solo developer tracking your own rankings: AppTweak’s Essential tier, or MobileAction’s $15/month Lite tier if 100 keywords is enough
- Want research to end in a live App Store Connect update, not a dashboard: neither tool does this today — see Marteso
Where Marteso fits, and where it doesn’t
Full disclosure: Marteso is our product, so weigh this like any vendor’s self-description. Marteso connects to App Store Connect, tracks keywords, and generates AI-assisted suggestions for title, subtitle, keywords, and description that you review and apply yourself — verified against marteso.com and marteso.com/docs on 29 August 2026. Pricing is transparent: a free Starter tier (1 app, 50 keywords, 3 competitor apps, daily rank updates) and Pro at €18 per app/month (500 keywords, unlimited competitor apps, AI metadata optimizer). It’s iOS-only, with no Google Play support, and it has neither AppTweak’s install-and-revenue-adjacent metrics nor Sensor Tower’s third-party download and ad-spend estimates. If competitive market intelligence across apps you don’t own is the actual job, that’s what Sensor Tower is built for; if the job is tracking your own iOS rankings and drafting the next metadata change, Marteso is.
