TL;DR. AppTweak has no free tier — its cheapest plan, Essential, is €79/month for 500 keywords, 5 followed apps, and 6 months of history. Appfigures does have a permanent free plan, but it doesn’t list keyword tracking among its features; its cheapest paid tier, Connect, is $9.99/month for only 25 keywords. At matched keyword volume the picture flips: AppTweak’s Essential (500 keywords, €79/month) is less than half the price of Appfigures’ Optimize (500 keywords, $149.99/month), the tier where Appfigures also unlocks its first competitor-tracking slot. Both checked directly on apptweak.com and appfigures.com on 31 August 2026. Both cover the App Store and Google Play at every paid tier.
AppTweak and Appfigures both show up on indie developer shortlists, but they scale price on different axes — AppTweak mainly on keyword volume and history depth, Appfigures on keyword volume plus a separate “Premium Competitor” gate. That makes sticker price a poor first filter. We checked apptweak.com/en/pricing and appfigures.com/pricing directly on 31 August 2026. AppTweak prices in EUR, Appfigures in USD — figures below are left as each vendor lists them rather than converted.
Does either tool have a genuinely free plan?
Appfigures does; AppTweak doesn’t. Appfigures’ pricing page lists a permanent Free plan alongside its five paid tiers, covering basic analytics, last-month download and revenue estimates, review monitoring, and market data — but keyword tracking isn’t among the features listed for it, and starts only at Connect ($9.99/month, 25 keywords). AppTweak’s page shows no free tier at all: Essential, at €79/month, is the entry point to the product.
How much does each tool cost?
| AppTweak | Appfigures | |

| Top tier limits | 3,000 keywords, 15 apps, 15 competitors/app, 24-month history | 5 apps, 2,500 keywords, unlimited Premium Competitors |

| Platforms | App Store + Google Play, every tier | App Store + Google Play, every tier |
The closest apples-to-apples match is AppTweak Essential against Appfigures Optimize: both give 500 keywords, but AppTweak’s price is less than half of Appfigures’ — €79 vs $149.99. What Appfigures adds at that tier is its first Premium Competitor slot and hourly (vs. AppTweak’s unspecified) rank refresh; what AppTweak adds is 5 tracked competitors per app from its very first paid tier, at no extra cost.
What does “competitor tracking” actually mean on each tool?
This is the detail that changes the comparison once you look past keyword counts. AppTweak bundles competitor tracking into every tier — 5 competitors per app at Essential, rising to 15 at Grow Plus — as part of the base price. Appfigures’ “Premium Competitor” is a separate, gated resource: zero slots at Connect and Monitor, one slot starting at Optimize ($149.99/month), and “unlimited” only at the top Amplify tier ($1,399.99/month). If any competitor visibility is part of the job, AppTweak includes it from €79/month; getting the same on Appfigures means paying at least $149.99/month first.
Does either cover Android as well as iOS?
Yes, both do, at every tier. AppTweak’s pricing page states coverage across “100+ countries and languages” for both App Store and Google Play; Appfigures lists both platforms across its free plan and all five paid tiers. Platform coverage isn’t the deciding factor here — keyword volume, competitor access, and app count are.
Which one should a solo developer pick?
If you’re tracking one app and want the cheapest way in, Appfigures’ Connect tier at $9.99/month is the lowest sticker price of the two — but 25 keywords is thin for most real apps once long-tail variants are counted, and Connect includes zero competitor tracking. AppTweak has no tier under €79/month, but that price buys 500 keywords, 6 months of history, and competitor tracking already included. For a solo developer who wants one real number to track keyword rank against, AppTweak Essential is the tier that matches what most indie apps actually need; Appfigures’ equivalent keyword volume (Optimize, $149.99/month) costs nearly double.
Which one should a growing studio pick?
If your portfolio is 5-15 apps, AppTweak’s tiers price for that directly: Grow covers 10 apps at €249/month, Grow Plus covers 15 at €499/month, with competitor tracking scaling alongside. Appfigures caps every paid tier at 5 apps before charging $1.99 per additional app, so a 15-app portfolio adds a per-app surcharge on top of whichever tier you’re on, regardless of keyword needs.
If deep keyword volume on a small number of apps is the actual goal, Appfigures’ Amplify tier gives 2,500 keywords for $1,399.99/month against AppTweak Grow Plus’s 3,000 keywords for €499/month — AppTweak is both cheaper and higher-limit on keyword count alone. Amplify’s price is buying unlimited Premium Competitors and Apple Ads Intelligence on top, not the keyword count itself.
What’s missing from both?
Direct App Store Connect write-back. Neither vendor’s tier descriptions mention pushing a title, subtitle, keyword field, or description change live to App Store Connect or Google Play Console — both are tracking and analytics layers, and you make the actual metadata change yourself. That’s the same gap we found comparing AppTweak and MobileAction and App Radar and Appfigures.

- Competitor tracking included from tier one: AppTweak — Appfigures gates any competitor slot behind Optimize ($149.99/month) or higher
- Scaling past 5 apps: AppTweak — Grow and Grow Plus price per-portfolio (10/15 apps), Appfigures charges $1.99/app past 5 on every tier
- You want research to end in a live App Store Connect update, not a dashboard: neither tool does this today — check a tool built around that workflow, like Marteso
Where Marteso fits, and where it doesn’t
Full disclosure: Marteso is our product, so weigh this like any vendor’s self-description. Marteso connects to App Store Connect, tracks keywords, and generates AI-assisted suggestions for title, subtitle, keywords, and description that you review and apply yourself — verified against marteso.com and marteso.com/docs on 31 August 2026. Pricing is transparent: a free Starter tier (1 app, 50 keywords, 3 competitor apps, daily rank updates) and Pro at €18 per app/month (500 keywords, unlimited competitor apps, AI metadata optimizer). It’s iOS-only, with no Google Play support — the one structural gap against both AppTweak and Appfigures if part of your portfolio ships on Android.
