TL;DR. AppTweak’s cheapest self-serve tier, Essential, is €79/month for 500 keywords, 5 followed apps, and 5 competitors per app — and like every AppTweak tier up to Grow Plus at €499/month, it caps you at a single seat, checked on apptweak.com/en/pricing on 13 September 2026. Komori charges one flat $19.99/month (or $199.99/year) with no keyword cap at all, but it’s a native macOS app covering the App Store only — no Google Play, confirmed the same day on komori.tech. Past 500 keywords, Komori is the cheaper way to track rank; if you need Android coverage or more than one login, AppTweak is the only one of the two that offers either.
AppTweak and Komori sit at opposite ends of how an ASO tool can be built. AppTweak is a browser-based platform with three priced tiers plus a custom Enterprise plan, covering both major app stores. Komori is a single-price native Mac app built around one number: unlimited keyword tracking for one flat fee, iOS only. We checked apptweak.com/en/pricing and komori.tech directly on 13 September 2026 to confirm the figures below.
Which one is cheaper for tracking keywords?
It depends entirely on volume, same pattern we’ve found comparing Komori to MobileAction and Appfigures. AppTweak has no free tier and its cheapest paid plan, Essential, is €79/month for 500 keywords. Komori has no free tier either (only a 3-day trial) but its $19.99/month covers unlimited keywords, no matter how many you’re tracking.
| AppTweak | Komori | |
|---|---|---|
| Free tier | No | No (3-day free trial only) |
| Entry tier | Essential — €79/month (€949/year): 5 apps, 500 keywords, 5 competitors/app, 10 reports, 6-month history | $19.99/month (one tier, all features) |
| Mid tier | Grow — €249/month (€2,990/year): 10 apps, 1,500 keywords, 10 competitors/app, 15 reports, 12-month history | — (same $19.99 tier) |
| Top self-serve tier | Grow Plus — €499/month (€5,990/year): 15 apps, 3,000 keywords, 15 competitors/app, 20 reports, 24-month history | — (same $19.99 tier) |
| Annual discount | ~2 months free on every tier | $199.99/year (~17% off monthly) |
| Keyword cap | Yes, scales by tier (500 → 3,000) | None at any price |
| Seats | 1 on every self-serve tier, including Grow Plus | Not published on the $19.99 tier; team licensing mentioned only under custom Enterprise |
| Platforms | App Store + Google Play on every tier | App Store (iOS) only — no Android or Google Play mentioned anywhere on the site |
| Enterprise | Custom (contact sales), adds AI Visibility add-on, ASO Agent, Creative Explorer | Custom (contact sales) |
Past 500 keywords, the math flips: AppTweak’s Grow tier is €249/month for 1,500 keywords, while Komori is still $19.99/month for as many keywords as you want to add. If you don’t need Google Play or a second seat, Komori is the cheaper tool by a wide margin once your keyword list outgrows what AppTweak’s Essential tier covers.
Does either one cover Android?
AppTweak does, on every tier — Google Play appears alongside the App Store throughout its pricing and product pages. Komori doesn’t mention Google Play or Android anywhere on its site; it’s built specifically for the Apple App Store, distributed as a native macOS app. If any part of your portfolio ships on Android, Komori isn’t an option for that half of the business at any price.
Which one gives a team more than one login?
AppTweak, on paper, but not by much at the self-serve level — Essential, Grow, and Grow Plus all cap you at a single seat, so a second team member requires the custom Enterprise tier regardless of how much you’re already paying. Komori’s $19.99/month tier doesn’t publish a seat count at all; team access is mentioned only under its custom Enterprise plan, the same as AppTweak’s. Neither tool gives a solo developer a self-serve way to add a second logged-in user without an upgrade conversation with sales.
What does each tool actually do?
AppTweak, per its pricing page: keyword rank tracking, competitor tracking, and downloadable reports at every tier, with higher tiers adding more followed apps, more competitors per app, longer historical data, and — at Enterprise — an AI Visibility add-on, an “ASO Agent,” and a Creative Explorer tool for ad/screenshot analysis.
Komori, per its own site and App Store listing: AI-tuned keyword suggestions (“Keyword Edge”), real-time rank tracking with 30-day history, unlimited competitor comparison (“Competitor Smackdown”), and review-sentiment analytics across 90+ countries — all in a native macOS app with no web dashboard. Its App Store listing has previously surfaced an unlisted $499.99 lifetime purchase option that doesn’t appear on the komori.tech pricing page itself.
Neither vendor’s pricing page describes pushing a title, subtitle, or keyword-field change back to App Store Connect — both are research-and-tracking products, the same scope gap we’ve found in every other comparison in this lane.
Which one should a solo developer with one App Store app pick?
If your keyword list is under 500, price is close enough (€79 vs $19.99) that Komori wins on cost alone unless you specifically want AppTweak’s report exports or longer history. Past 500 keywords, Komori’s flat fee makes it the clear pick for an iOS-only developer who doesn’t need a second seat.
Which one should a growing studio pick?
Neither is a great fit past a two-person team, but AppTweak at least covers Google Play if your studio ships there — Komori doesn’t, at any price. If you’re iOS-only and staying small, Komori’s uncapped keyword tracking scales with your app for free; if you need Android or expect to add teammates, you’ll be talking to AppTweak’s or Komori’s sales team either way once you outgrow a single seat.
The short version
- Cheaper past 500 keywords: Komori — $19.99/month flat, no cap at any price
- Only one with Google Play coverage: AppTweak, on every tier
- Seats: both cap self-serve plans at 1 (AppTweak explicitly; Komori doesn’t publish a number)
- No free tier on either: AppTweak has none; Komori offers only a 3-day trial
- Longer historical data and report exports: AppTweak, scaling from 6 to 24 months by tier
Where Marteso fits, and where it doesn’t
Full disclosure: Marteso is our product, so weigh this like any vendor’s self-description. Marteso tracks keywords, generates AI-assisted suggestions for title, subtitle, keywords, and description, and — per its own site, checked 13 September 2026 — can write metadata changes directly to App Store Connect through its MCP server tools, rather than requiring manual copy-paste into App Store Connect. Pricing is transparent: a free Starter tier (2 apps, 50 keywords per app, 3 competitors per app) and Pro at €18 per app/month (unlimited apps, 500 keywords tracked, unlimited competitors, AI metadata optimizer). It’s iOS-only, with no Google Play support and no published seat count, so it doesn’t match AppTweak’s Android coverage or beat Komori’s uncapped keyword volume at a flat price. If the job is tracking iOS rankings and getting a metadata change live without leaving the tool, that’s what Marteso is built around.
