TL;DR. AppTweak’s cheapest self-serve tier, Essential, is €79/month for 500 keywords — and every AppTweak tier, all the way up to Grow Plus at €499/month, caps you at a single seat. MobileAction’s ASO Intelligence has a much lower entry price, Lite at $15/month, but that buys only 100 keywords and 3 months of history; its 500-keyword tier, Basic, is $69/month across 8 apps with 3 seats added only at the next tier up (Pro, $239/month). Both cover the App Store and Google Play at every tier. MobileAction also sells Apple Ads campaign management (CMP, free up to $10K/month ad spend) and competitor ad-creative intelligence as separate products — AppTweak doesn’t offer either.

AppTweak and MobileAction both show up on indie developer shortlists as full-featured ASO platforms, but they price and scope themselves differently enough that “which one” isn’t obvious from either homepage. AppTweak sells one product with tiers that scale keyword volume and history depth. MobileAction sells ASO Intelligence for organic keyword work, plus two separate paid-ads products (CMP for Apple Ads, Ad Intelligence for competitor creatives) that most solo developers won’t touch.

We checked apptweak.com/en/pricing and mobileaction.co/pricing directly on 28 August 2026. AppTweak prices in EUR, MobileAction in USD — the figures below are left as each vendor lists them rather than converted.

Which one is cheaper to start with?

On sticker price, MobileAction wins by a wide margin: Lite is $15/month against AppTweak’s cheapest tier, Essential, at €79/month. But Lite’s limits are tight — 100 keywords and 3 months of history, across 5 apps with only 3 tracked competitors per app. AppTweak’s Essential gives you 500 keywords and 6 months of history from the first euro.

The closest apples-to-apples comparison is AppTweak Essential against MobileAction Basic: both land around the €69–79/$69 mark and both cap at 500 keywords. Past that, the two tools diverge on what the money buys. AppTweak’s Essential is single-app-uncapped but single-seat; MobileAction’s Basic caps you at 8 apps but still only 1 seat, with 3 seats not arriving until Pro at $239/month.

What does each tool actually do?

AppTweak, per its pricing page: at Essential, a Reporting Studio, 12+ keyword research tools, live keyword search, competitor metadata analysis, app-page preview, featured-apps tracking, and ratings-and-reviews analysis. Grow adds organic installs per keyword, relevancy scores, brand-vs-generic install splits, a metadata simulator, and automated Slack/email alerts. Grow Plus is the same feature set at higher keyword and history limits rather than new capability. Enterprise is where AppTweak’s differentiated tooling lives — AI Visibility, an “ASO Agent,” AppDNA/GameDNA taxonomy, a creative-explorer suite, and incrementality analysis — none of it priced publicly.

MobileAction (ASO Intelligence), per its pricing page: Lite covers basic keyword research and rank tracking. Basic adds advanced keyword grouping and competitor insights. Pro adds organic download attribution and brand-vs-generic analysis — the rough equivalent of what AppTweak puts in Grow. Enterprise adds custom product page data and creative insights drawn from “40+ ad networks.”

Neither vendor’s tier descriptions mention writing a metadata change — title, subtitle, keyword field, or description — back to App Store Connect or Google Play Console. Both are research-and-reporting layers; you still make the actual change yourself.

Where MobileAction pulls ahead in scope is outside ASO Intelligence entirely: CMP manages Apple Ads campaigns and bidding, with a free tier up to $10K/month ad spend, and Ad Intelligence covers competitor ad-creative data. AppTweak has no equivalent paid-ads product — if Apple Ads management is part of your workflow, that’s a MobileAction-only column in this comparison, the same gap we found between AppRadar and MobileAction back in our AppRadar vs MobileAction comparison.

Does either cover Android as well as iOS?

Yes, both do, at every tier. AppTweak and MobileAction track the Apple App Store and Google Play, so platform coverage isn’t the deciding factor here — the choice comes down to keyword volume, seat count, and whether Apple Ads management matters to you.

Which one should a solo developer pick?

If you’re tracking one app and want the cheapest way to see where you rank, MobileAction Lite at $15/month is the lowest entry price of any tool we’ve compared in this lane. But be honest about the limits: 100 keywords undercounts most indie apps once you factor in long-tail variants, and 3 months of history isn’t enough to spot a seasonal pattern.

If 500 keywords is closer to your real number, AppTweak Essential (€79/month) and MobileAction Basic ($69/month) are close enough in price that the deciding factor is app count versus history depth: AppTweak doesn’t publish an app cap on Essential but locks you to 6 months of history and 1 seat; MobileAction Basic caps you at 8 apps but gives 10 tracked competitors per app against AppTweak’s flat competitor allowance and, at $69 vs €79, is nominally cheaper before any currency conversion.

Which one should a growing studio pick?

If a second person needs a login without sharing credentials, MobileAction is the only one of the two that offers it on a self-serve tier — 3 seats at Pro, $239/month. AppTweak keeps every self-serve tier, including Grow Plus at €499/month, capped at a single seat; adding a teammate means either sharing a login or moving to AppTweak’s quote-only Enterprise tier.

If Apple Ads spend is part of your acquisition mix, MobileAction’s CMP product (free up to $10K/month ad spend) means you can start managing campaigns without adding to your ASO Intelligence bill. AppTweak has no comparable offering — paid-ads management isn’t part of its product at any tier, published or enterprise.

If deeper organic metrics — installs per keyword, relevancy scoring, a metadata simulator — are the actual bottleneck, AppTweak’s Grow tier (€249/month) documents exactly what you get for that price. MobileAction’s equivalent metrics (organic download attribution, brand-vs-generic splits) sit at Pro ($239/month), a close price match but with the seat and app-count ceiling raised at the same time.

What’s missing from both?

Direct App Store Connect write-back. Both tools tell you what’s ranking and what your competitors are doing; neither pushes a metadata change live. That’s the same scope gap we found comparing AppFollow and AppTweak and AppRadar and MobileAction — research and monitoring, not implementation.

The short version

  • Cheapest way in, one app, tight budget: MobileAction Lite, $15/month, 100 keywords
  • 500-keyword tier, similar price either way: AppTweak Essential (€79/month, unlimited apps but 1 seat, 6-month history) vs. MobileAction Basic ($69/month, 8 apps, 10 competitors/app, 6-month history)
  • A second seat without an Enterprise quote: MobileAction only — Pro adds 3 seats at $239/month; every AppTweak self-serve tier is capped at 1
  • Apple Ads campaign management is part of the job: MobileAction, via its separate CMP product (free up to $10K/month ad spend) — AppTweak has no equivalent
  • You want research to end in a live App Store Connect update, not a dashboard: neither tool does this today — check a tool built around that workflow, like Marteso

Where Marteso fits, and where it doesn’t

Full disclosure: Marteso is our product, so weigh this like any vendor’s self-description. Marteso connects to App Store Connect, tracks keywords, and generates AI-assisted suggestions for title, subtitle, keywords, and description that you review and apply yourself — it doesn’t push metadata changes live automatically, verified against marteso.com and marteso.com/docs on 28 August 2026. Pricing is transparent on the site: a free Starter tier (1 app, 50 keywords, 3 competitor apps, daily rank updates) and Pro at €18 per app/month (500 keywords, unlimited competitor apps, AI metadata optimizer). It’s iOS-only, with no Google Play support, and it doesn’t have AppTweak’s install-and-revenue-adjacent metrics or MobileAction’s Apple Ads management and ad-creative intelligence. If either of those is your actual bottleneck, one of today’s two tools is built for that job; if the job is tracking your own iOS rankings and drafting the next metadata change, Marteso is.
